Program Management Contract – PPL (Pennsylvania Power & Light)
Role: Commissioning, Construction Management, Contract Management, Environmental Management, Program Management, Project Controls, Project Management, QA/QC, Safety Services

Program Management services on the multi-year PPL Electric Utilities Transmission System Capital Infrastructure Improvement Program included:

  1. Rebuilding and reinforcing 69kV and 138kV transmission lines.
  2. The rebuild of existing and installation of new greenfield substations from 230kV to 500kV.
  3. The deployment of transmission automation technology and fiber connectivity across the PPL system.

The Program’s overall goal was to enhance system reliability, operability, maintainability, and safety and enable PPL EU to achieve its reliability, capacity, load growth, and market efficiency objectives. As Program Manager, the JPOW Team was responsible for all aspects of project performance, from Engineering through Commissioning.
